Als Regisseurin hat Tatia Pilieva einen etwas anderen Bezug zur Fotografie. Sie macht Filme. Kurze Filme, in denen die Menschen mit all ihren gemeinsamen Berührungspunkten zueinander im Mittelpunkt stehen. Sie sieht und zeigt mit ihrer Arbeit das Potenzial, bevor es manche für sich selbst gefunden haben, und vertraut auf die Bedürfnisse unserer menschlichen Natur.

Tatia Pilieva - Die Idee hinter ihrer Arbeit

Ihre Ideen sind simpel und die Umsetzung ausdrucksstark, real, authentisch, rührend und unterhaltsam. Sie haben auch einen experimentellen Charakter - es steht eine virtuelle Frage in der Luft, die durch ihre bewegten Bilder beantwortet werden. Haben Sie sich schonmal gefragt, was Nonnen zum Spaß machen? Die eigentliche Frage bei vielen ist vielleicht sogar: Kann eine Nonne überhaupt Spaß haben? In dem Kurzfilm „NUN FUN“, lädt Tatia drei Nonnen zu einem Spaß-Tag ein, mit einem Tanzkurs und einem großen Trampolin. Das stereotypische Bild einer Nonne lockert sich auf und es bleiben die Frauen die sich lachend amüsieren. „Ganz einfach“, erzählt uns Tatia Pilieva.

Kurzfilme, die Veränderungen bewirken

Mich hat das Erzählen von Geschichten über menschliche Verbindungen schon immer am meisten beschäftigt. Meine Karriere begann mit FIRST KISS - einem dreiminütigen Schwarzweiß-Kurzfilm, in dem ich zwanzig Fremde bat, sich zum ersten Mal zu küssen. In dem Video sieht man diesen speziellen Moment und wie er sich entwickelt. Im ähnlichen Zusammenhang habe ich SPEECH geschaffen - einen Film, in dem Schauspielerinnen berühmte Reden amerikanischer Präsidenten halten. Ich wollte den Betrachter erneut für die Gründungsprinzipien dieses Landes (USA)begeistern und gleichzeitig die Ungleichheit der Geschlechter an der Macht ans Licht bringen. Als junge Filmemacherinnen und Filmemacher versuchen wir, Veränderungen zu bewirken. Das Publikum so tief zu bewegen, dass wir die Art und Weise verändern, wie es die Welt wahrnimmt.
