The I-Series SIGMA 24mm F3.5 DG DN | Contemporary brings out stunning detail and beautiful bokeh. Inspire your creativity with this incredible wide-angle prime for mirrorless cameras
The SIGMA I-Series is a range of compact, beautifully designed high-performance Lens for mirrorless camera systems. Part of the first collection is the SIGMA 24mm wide-angle prime lens, which extends the Contemporary range and offers excellent mobility and versatility.

The 24mm F3.5 DG DN | Contemporary offers a very compact design, similar to that of the 45mm F2.8 DG DN | Contemporary, effectively the forerunner of this series. Despite its small size, it does not compromise on performance. Even with high-resolution full-frame cameras, it is capable of capturing the finest details.

The very short focusing distance of around 10cm and the maximum reproduction ratio of 1:2 allow photographers to work freely and creatively without having to worry too much about the distance between the lens and the subject. The 24mm F3.5 DG DN | Contemporary is a versatile prime that makes creative visions a reality.
The robust and elegant design of the I-Series ensures a convincing shooting experience.

1.
I-Series|Anew photographic experience - "Premium Compact Primes" for mirrorless camera users
The SIGMA I-Series includes full-frame compatible lenses that provide mirrorless system users with new and better alternatives - both in terms of the working experience with the lens and the impressive image results.

Mirrorless cameras have the advantage that they can be kept small and compact. This new 24mm lens is perfectly matched to these compact systems without compromising on performance. The combination of outstanding optical quality and exceptional portability, previously unavailable with DSLR systems, opens up new possibilities for current and future generations of photographers. Powerful equipment has never been so handy.

Nowadays, we have an enormous variety in the choice of shooting tools, as the example of the smartphone shows. SIGMA is therefore aware that people are looking for something more than the act of "taking pictures" when they choose a camera with interchangeable lenses. Since its foundation in 1961, SIGMA's outstanding development and processing technologies have been further expanded and further developed with the introduction of SIGMA Global Vision in 2012. SIGMA is constantly thinking about how photographers use and value their lenses - including optical design, advanced functionality, build quality and the experience of shooting and using the lenses. And so the I-Series was born from these careful considerations.

2.
Stunning details and beautiful bokeh for every scene
The high resolution of the 24mm F3.5 DG DN | Contemporary extends over the entire image area. This ensures sharp wide-angle shots from the center of the image to the edges, at any aperture. Thanks to the very short focusing distance of around 10 cm and the maximum reproduction ratio of 1:2, photographers can work freely and creatively - from expansive landscape shots to close-ups of smaller lenses.

In addition to the attractive bokeh, the lens also provides almost circular, blurred highlights at the edges of the image. This makes it possible to create impressively sharp close-ups of an object against a blurred background. A technique that is useful in many creative ways.

The Lens features the latest optical design optimized for mirrorless systems. It incorporates high-precision, blank-molded aspherical glass lenses manufactured using the latest processing technology, as well as SLD glass and glass elements with a high refractive index. All in all, it succeeds in combining high optical performance with compactness. Last but not least, a smooth focus drive system based on a quiet and fast stepper motor ensures that the 24mm F3.5 DG DN | Contemporary is an equally good choice for video shooting.

3.
Exceptional processing quality of the I-Series in a compact form
All I-Series Lens have a pure metal construction. The precision-cut aluminum parts not only give the barrel a sleek, stylish finish, but also provide excellent durability that enhances the quality of the entire product. Metal materials are also used for the internal construction, which harmonize with the operating rings for added robustness. These high-precision components, which are manufactured using SIGMA's latest metal processing technology and are also used in the cine lens range for professional filmmakers, offer an exquisite feel and barely perceptible operating noise, making photographers want to use them again and again.

Looking at the 45mm F2.8 DG DN | Contemporary, the 24mm F3.5 DG DN | Contemporary has the same filter diameter of 55mm, an identical outer diameter and a similar overall length. With a total weight of just 440g*, these two Lens can be used together as part of a highly specified and compact camera system covering a wide range of shooting areas.
