Highest image quality, groundbreaking functionality and an intuitive operating concept ? with the GFX series, Fujifilm expands its camera portfolio with a mirrorless medium format camera. The GFX series delivers a new level of image quality for both professional photographers and home enthusiasts. The advantages of medium format sensors are impressive: they have a much larger surface area, which ensures higher resolutions, less noise and a larger dynamic range with greater detail accuracy. The high color depth of 16 bits can also accommodate decisively more color nuances. This makes it the perfect solution for detailed large-format prints.
The very shallow depth of field also allows very targeted cropping, especially for portraits. Cameras with medium-format sensors are also popular with landscape photographers, who appreciate the high quality, especially in the wide-angle range. Throughout its long history, Fujifilm has developed and produced photographic film with excellent image quality and expressive color reproduction to meet the needs of demanding photographers. The philosophy that "a camera is a tool to create art" has always been followed by Fujifilm in the production of professional cameras. Fujinon lenses have been developed that set standards with their quality and are an integral part of a camera system. These technologies have been brought together to create the "GFX" camera system, which uses a medium format sensor to achieve the best possible image quality. GFX is Fujifilm's mirrorless system, which is especially compact and lightweight in this class. Together with the optimally adapted Fujinon GF lenses a unique image quality is produced.
Fujifilm GFX-50S ? The exclusive Foto Koch test
For a long time we have been waiting. Much was speculated. What can the new camera do, can it keep what Fujifilm promised at the Photokina in September 2016? Since January we had the certainty; the camera will revolutionize medium format photography. We couldn't pass it up and tried out the compact medium format pro in an exclusive test in the heart of D?sseldorf.
