  • BaK4 with high light transmission and resolution
  • Multi-coating on all lenses
  • Continuous rubber armoring for protection and a secure grip
The U series consists of binoculars with a porro prism design. They are ultra-compact and have a body with synchronized adjustment of the pupil distance. The new full coating ("Full Multi Coating") guarantees high light transmission. Aspherical lens elements provide edge-to-edge sharpness. These binoculars are the perfect companion for almost all applications. The Papilio series occupies a special position with a close-up distance of 50 cm. In addition to the black housing color, the UP 8x21 and 10x21 binoculars are also available in pink and blue.

Multiple coatings on all lenses
Optimal light transmission is one of the most important aspects for the visual quality of binoculars. This is also the focus of the new technologies for the current PENTAX Sport Optics series. The "Full-Multi-Coating" of all lenses is the new standard coating. It improves light transmission and contrast while minimizing reflections and ensuring excellent colour fidelity.

Aspherical lens elements
These specially manufactured lenses reduce imaging errors to a minimum and are responsible for sharp and brilliant image reproduction right up to the edges. The aspherical hybrid lenses of the U series not only provide good imaging performance, they also enable a compact and lightweight design.

Internal focusing
Internal focusing protects the binoculars from the ingress of dust, foreign bodies and moisture. This ensures functionality over a long period of use.
  • Synchronized adjustment of the pupil distance
  • Aspherical lens elements
