  • Lens adapter
  • Adapter for Lens with Minolta AF or Sony A mount to cameras with Canon RF mount
  • No signal transmission, only manual operation of the Lens possible
  • Focusing to infinity is retained
  • Aperture can be set manually via the adapter
  • Proven Kipon quality: precisely manufactured, easy and quick to mount and remove

Adapters make it possible to use different Lens on different cameras, even if they were not actually designed for each other and have different mounts. In most cases, an adapter does not change the imaging behavior of the Lens, as meticulous attention is paid to this in the respective design of the adapter. In most cases, the ability to focus to infinity is also retained, which is no longer possible with some combinations due to the distance between the Lens and the sensor being too great.

Kipon MAF-N/Z adapter: Minolta AF lenses on cameras with Canon RF mount
This adapter allows the use of Minolta AF lenses, but also lenses with Sony A mount, on cameras with Canon RF mount. Minolta AF Lens do not have an aperture ring, the aperture is normally set by the camera. When using this adapter, the aperture can be selected manually and continuously via an aperture ring on the adapter. Special care should be taken when attaching wide-angle and fisheye lenses to the adapter.

Manual work
Some adapters pass the electrical signals between the camera and the Lens so that, for example, fully automatic exposure programs and automatic focusing remain possible. Others do not, so that the photographer has to operate the Lens manually - but this is not a real obstacle, even for beginners in photography. With this adapter, only manual operation is possible with Minolta AF Lens.

Also compatible with Sony A lenses
Lenses from the Sony A series can also be mounted on this adapter. They can then also only be used manually. Their aperture can only be controlled on the Lens, not via the aperture ring on the adapter. The Minolta AF mount is also known as Minolta A.
